Title: Concrete Roses, is a piece about beauty in the unexpected. A formation of roses inspired by a design I saw embossed into a cracked concrete pot by a pool in Mallorca. The pot fit with a dead plant was the most unlikely of inspiring sights, yet the rose details stuck with me and became the source of many artworks in the months that followed. A piece that reminds us to look for beauty everywhere, with artists eyes.
Painted in gouache on Japanese fleck textured rice paper.
